New Jersey Seaside Beach Maternity Session
Summer will forever be one of my favorite seasons. When you pair that with sessions like this one- I am just in love all over again.
Lily and Jake reached out to me a few months ago to document some pure moments between the two of them before they embark on their next greatest adventure. I was incredibly honored to be asked to do this because I know how special and fleeting this time is.
We decided on a beach in New Jersey that was relatively close to them (mama doesn’t do well in cars this late in pregnancy and girl do I get that!!!). They were engaged at Asbury Park, New Jersey so they wanted a similar vibe but also something a little different.
I landed on this beach near Matawan, NJ because it is very quiet and low key- just the perfect vibe for them all around. All day it had been a little cloudy and dare I say moody weather? But again, if you know me, you know I LIVE for the clouds.
Once I got to the beach, everyone started to leave as the day was through and it looked like there wasn’t going to be a killer sunset. Lily and Jake arrived and I instantly knew we were going to have a blast. They were dressed perfectly for the beach so we tossed our shoes aside and frolicked in the sand a bit. I know this sounds like a hallmark movie moment and it kind of was.
I absolutely LOVE when my couples are down for anything but also just chill throughout their session and let me do the rest. As we walked the beach, I learned more about them and the shore really is there HOME, and that’s where their baby will call home too. It was just so heartwarming all around.
In the last 5 minutes of our session, this PINK sun bursted out from the clouds and it was just like it was meant to put on a show just for us…of course we took full advantage. I am so grateful for this time with them and our cloudy beach session in South Jersey.
